Enjoy two days of rubber stamp, scrapbooking and paper craft fun at the Stamp Scrap Art Tour Show at Mesquite Convention Center and Exhibit Hall, 1700 Rodeo Drive, Mesquite, TX 75149. A special Make 'N Take Admission Package is available for Friday, Jan. 26 from 7 to 10 pm (before the show). Make 'N Take tickets are only available online and are limited.

Recruit your friends, grab a costume and come out to support Special Olympics athletes in the Greater Dallas area. Raise a minimum of $60 in donations from friends, family and co-workers in exchange for plunging. Together we promote dignity, equality and opportunity for all people. Registration begins at 8 a.m. and the event is at 10 a.m. Walk-up registrations are welcome at 8 a.m. Awards given for Best Costume (please keep costumes family-friendly!). Presented by Historic Mesquite, Inc. Tours of the beautiful S.D. Lawrence home, located in Opal Lawrence Historical Park, are from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. on the 4th Saturday of the month. Museum Hours are are from 10:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Tues. through Fri. Be sure to note the unique painted ceilings! Tours also available by appointment. Fourth Saturday fees are $3 each, no more than $8 per family.
